French luxury firm S. T. Dupont—no relation to the chemical company—has been dealing in extravagance since 1872, when it was founded by Simon Tissot Dupont. Recently, for instance, they created a line of accessories inspired by the 2006 James Bond film, Casino Royale. This year, they’ve produced the world’s most expensive lighter.
Part of the company’s Prestige Collection, the Ligne 2 lighter comes in four distinct varieties. While the solid gold, white gold and the “Rose” pink gold and diamond lighters are all exquisite in their own ways, the Ligne 2 Champagne is truly exceptional. Made of 18-karat white gold and decorated with 462 diamonds (5.2 carats) of GVS quality, the Ligne 2 Champagne positively glitters with excess.
The most expensive lighter in the world can be had for $79,000. Its companion piece, a pen with another 502 diamonds, commands a mere $74,000 price tag.

Metastacia is an unusual Hollow that has the power to merge with Shinigami. He uses this power to infiltrate groups of Shinigami and kill them off one by one. He merged with Kaien Shiba when the latter tried to kill him for killing his wife Miyako Shiba, but he was killed by Rukia Kuchiki and later eaten by Espada Aaroniero Arruruerie. 

Powers and Abilities 

Metastacia is an experiment of Aizen's, hence its unique abilities.

Body Possession: Metastacia could possess anyone he wanted to, by transferring his spirit body into their own. The only example explicitly shown was with Kaien Shiba; whenever he possesses a body, their skin turns green, eyes turn completely black, and orange splotches appear around their eyes, similar to the appearance of his Hollow mask.
Zanpakutō Destruction: If anyone touches the tentacles on Metastacia's back, their Zanpakutō will be destroyed instantly. This effect was limited to once a night, and was the only reason he had such an easy time against a Shinigami lieutenant.

Numb Chandelier

Numb Chandelier (ナム シャンデリア, Namu Shanderia) is one of the Hollows who were attracted to Karakura Town by Uryū Ishida's bait, during the Agent of the Shinigami arc. She attacked many Karakura High School students, including Tatsuki Arisawa and Chizuru Honshō and was eventually defeated by Orihime Inoue.

Bulbous G

Bulbous G (バルバス G, Barubasu Jī) is one of the Hollows who came to the Human World following Uryū Ishida's bait, during the Agent of the Shinigami arc. He chased Yasutora Sado and Karin Kurosaki and was subsequently defeated by Sado.

The Demi Hollow

The Demi-Hollow (半虚 (デミ・ホロウ), Demi-Horō) first appeared as a Jibakurai (ジバクライ) that was chained to an abandoned Karakura Town hospital. He is turned into a Hollow thanks to the interference of Don Kanonji and later purified by Ichigo.

Grand Fisher

In his Hollow form, Grand Fisher resembles a giant hamster with bird-like hands and feet and a tentacle-like limb that hangs from his forehead, similar to the esca (lure) of an anglerfish. The lure is vaguely Human-sized and can be transformed to resemble anyone Grand Fisher wishes, usually taking the appearance of a young girl. It can act independently of Grand Fisher, and as long as either the lure or Grand Fisher himself survives, he cannot be purified.

Grand Fisher's first Arrancar

In his first Arrancar form, he resembles a smaller, more humanoid version of his old self with a tattooed face. His mask remnants consist of his entire lower jaw, which obscures half of his face.
When he appeared in the Human World again to kill Ichigo, however, his appearance changed drastically. His entire mask was left unbroken and the upper half sat on his forehead. He also had fur all over his body and was much larger. His Hollow hole was also higher than his previous appearance. He carries a large Zanpakutō on his back. These changes to his appearance have not been explained.

Gagamel

One of Baraggan's many subordinate Hollows under his command when he was King of Hueco Mundo. This Hollow tried to kill Aizen at the gates of the palace, but was instantly killed by Tōsen.

Shrieker

Shrieker (シュリーカー, Shurīkā) is a frog-type Hollow with retractable bat wings on its arms. Shrieker attacks Yasutora Sado after he obtains a cockatiel possessed by the spirit of a dead child named Yūichi Shibata. Upon being killed by Ichigo, he is sent to Hell for sins he committed as a living Human.

AcidWire

Acidwire (アシッドワイヤー, Ashiddowaiyā) is the snake-like Hollow form of Orihime Inoue's brother, Sora Inoue. He regains his reason and personality after having his mask partially shattered in combat and purifies himself with Ichigo's Zanpakutō. He has a humanoid upper body with a snake-like lower body. He gets his name from his ability to spit acid

Becoming popular in the late 1800′s, drum kits were revolutionized by the invention of the bass drum pedal that allowed a drummer to play on several percussion instruments at once like the snare, bass, and cymbals. Drum kits were popularized in the roaring twenties when their deep sounds and bright tones became a necessary staple on the New Orleans jazz circuit.
The introduction of new drums and accessories like the tom-toms and high hat cymbals during the late 1920s and 30s made drum kits more expensive and helped revolutionize drumming techniques for many of the most recognizable names in music.

Standard drum sets include a bass drum, a snare drum, several cymbals and tom toms. Drummers will often include other percussion accessories like woodblocks, cowbells and electronics to customize their sound. Like most everything else, the more you customize our kit, the more expensive it will become.
If you are shopping for new drums, prepare to spend at least $500. Or even up to $5000 for the most expensive custom drums. Or perhaps if you like vintage instruments, then you might be interested in “Moon the Loon’s” custom made 1968 Premier drum kit. Keith Moon’s aged drum kit luckily survived his antics on and off stage and now is the most expensive drum kit in the world. In 2004, Christie’s London auctioned the drum kit for $252,487 or £139,650.
Keith Moon is often regarded as one the greatest all time rock and roll drummer. His unique style was most likely attributed to the fact that he was not always relied upon to keep time while playing with The Who. This allowed him to improvise and further develop his own style of drumming.

When you think of electric string instruments, the guitar is probably the first thing that comes to mind. To the electric rock string duo known as Fuse, however, it’s the electric violin that tops the charts.
The act, now the face of C Music TV, is comprised of virtuoso musicians Linzi Stoppard and Ben Lee. The artists reinterpret classic rock songs to be played on their electric violins—and what violins they are!
The pair of Bridge electric violins was coated by Swarovski with 50,000 of their signature crystals each. The resulting instruments were displayed at Harrods after a photocall to celebrate the launch of Fuse’s debut album. Of course, the duo played a few tracks from the album first.
These remarkable violins are insured for £1million (US $1.58 million), making them the most expensive electric violins in the world.

Have you ever tried to imagine what the world’s most expensive piano might be? Imagine no further. The most expensive piano in the world belonged to the Beatle’s John Lennon and was auctioned off to British pop-singer George Michael in 2000. When the topic of expensive pianos comes to mind you might think somewhere along the lines of a Bosendorfer, or a Bechstein, or maybe a Steinway & Sons “Alma-Tedema”, with its lavish artwork and hand crafted symmetry. But the Steinway & Sons “Model Z” Piano formerly owned by John Lennon is a fairly ordinary walnut upright piano that still bears a few cigarette burns attributed to the musician.
The piano was originally bought by Lennon in December 1970 and delivered to a studio at his home in Tittenhurst Park in Berkshire, England. He composed and recorded the song “Imagine” on it and was filmed playing the song on it for the first time for his wife, Yoko Ono, and the Plastic Ono band. Believed to be a piece of British history by many, the most expensive piano in the world sold at auction in the year 2000 for £1.45 million (about US $2.1 million) to George Michael after a “who’s who” bidding war that included several other British celebrities.

A Steinway & Sons Model Z

After using the world’s most expensive piano to record songs for an album, George Michael returned the piano to the Liverpool museum that housed it prior to his ownership. He stated that “the piano was not the type of thing that should be in storage somewhere or being protected, it should be seen by people.”
Of course, that doesn’t help anyone with seven figure budget and an urge to own the most expensive piano on the market. Luckily for anyone like that, Kuhn Studio and Bösendorfer Pianos have created a very pricey piano.
The Kuhn-Bösendorfer piano, as well as the accompanying bench, is set with 100,000 hand-cut, polished gems by glass artist Jon Kuhn. Kuhn’s glasswork is known for its luminescent quality and is featured permanently in over thirty-five museums, including the New YorkMetropolitan Museum of Modern Art and the White House Permanent Collection.
The Bösendorfer piano on which the diamonds are set is no less deserving of praise. Bösendorfer has been a name in the piano industry known for voice and playing sensitivity since 1828.
The Kuhn- Bösendorfer line of pianos will soon be available for public consumption. Anyone wishing to own the most expensive piano available can expect to shell out $1.2 million for the privilege.

They’re made of meteors.

These two luxury picks were fashioned from pieces of Gibeon meteorite. Said to be around 4 billion years old, Gibeon meteorites were discovered in 1836 in Namibia, Africa, where their sale and export were banned by the local government. Despite that fact, over twenty-five tons of the meteorites have been recovered and it is the most commonly found meteorite on the market today. One of the most interesting things about the meteorites is the pattern of Widmanstatten lines created by their frigid passage through space. These patterns are preserved in the picks and can be seen in the picture above.

“Blackie”, Eric Clapton’s favorite mid-career modified Strat has been surpassed in value and is no longer the most expensive guitar ever, despite that it was bought for $950,000 USD in 2004 by a guitar archaeologist.

The latest most expensive electric guitar in the world dethroned its predecessor at an auction in Doha, Qatar on November 16th, 2005. The Strat was signed by several rock musicians to benefit a tsunami charity, ‘Reach out to Asia’. It was bought one year ago by Qatar’s royal family for a million dollars and donated back to the Asia Program, bringing in $2.7 million USD at the more recent auction, whose attendees included Former President Bill Clinton. Technically, the guitar has generated a total of $3.7 million USD, making it the most expensive guitar yet.
Signees of this expensive electric guitar included Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Brian May, Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, Jeff Beck, Pete Townsend, Mark Knopfler, Ray Davis, Liam Gallagher, Ronnie Wood, Tony Iommi, Angus & Malcolm Young, Paul McCartney, Sting, Ritchie Blackmore, Def Leppard, and Bryan Adams, the coordinator of the project.

German luthier Jens Ritter has long been known for his high-class instruments, but he's now topped his previous form. He's built a gold and diamond-encrusted bass.

The bass, called the Flora Aurum, is to go on sale for $250,000 in Las Vegas. The retailer is Wynn And Co - not a guitar shop, but a jewellery dealer.

"More and more people do not just want a tool for their job or hobby, they want a piece of culture," reckons Ritter. Whether this slab of bass bling is 'cultural' remains open to debate.

Ritter actually began as a musician who couldn't afford his own instruments, so he'd buy broken guitars and fix them. Then he wondered whether he could take a piece of wood and make it into a guitar. "When I got finished, I had no idea if they were good," he said. Indeed, his first 'sale' was bartering one of his instruments for some chimney repairs.

Ritter now makes about 60 handcrafted instruments each year, with users including Doug Wimbish, Madonna's band, and The Grateful Dead's Phil Lesh... as well as chimney repairers.
Gold, diamonds, mammoth ivory?

The spec of the bass is, needless to say, quite spectacular. For the not inconsiderable asking price you get:
- Floral pattern fingerboard Inlay made of 24 carat gold
- Every single inlay-leaf is decorated with a black diamond (set in platinum)
- The bridge, the tuner buttons and the knobs are handcast in gold
- Two flawless brillant-cut diamonds (3,3ct) are placed on top of the two knobs
- Tiny green brillant-cut diamonds serve as knob position markers
- The handshaped body is one-piece highest-figured quilted maple
- The nut is made of at least 10,000 year-old mammoth ivory
